All electronic locks have
digital keypads. Digital keypads can be reprogrammed at any
time to enter a new code. The factory code stays in the
memory and can always be used for an over-ride. Electronic
locks run on batteries. The lock requires very little power
and the batteries last along time. When the batteries are
running low, a warning light flashes. Batteries can always
be changed externally so you will never be locked out of
your safe because of dead batteries.
Biometric locks are
technically electronic as well and run on batteries.
